Charter Schools and Funding

Charter schools are innovative public schools of choice providing greater options for families and an even greater accountability for results.  Charter schools do not have the ability to raise taxes or to float bonds for facility acquisition or expansion. This puts a unique burden on charter schools, in that they must finance their facility acquisition and renovation from whatever private funding they are able to raise and/or their program budgets. With the support of members of our community, Unity Learning Environments, and others it is our goal to expand our current facility or provide another to incorporate components of “green” architecture and serve a larger student body.
